Adding a Non-Medication Order (Labs, Activities, etc.)

1.

From the Orders tab on the Resident Summary page, click Add New.

2.

Select Laboratory from the Order Type drop-down and click Search.

 

Note:

·         A list of all library orders for the Laboratory Order Type will be displayed.

·         If the order is not listed, then click >Add Order to open a blank Lab order.

·         If the order is linked to an Order Set, the order set name will appear along with an  icon which will allow you to select the order set and/ or view the details of the order set.

3.

Click the applicable order from the list displayed.

4.

Add all details necessary for the order as per your facility's policy.

5.

Select or build a schedule as per your facility's policy.

6.

Click the Dx tab and enter a diagnosis if required by your facility or if provided by the physician.

 

Note: A red circle indicates that Diagnosis is required for this type of order.

7.

Click and review the Summary tab.

8.

Select a date from the Start Date drop-down.

9.

Click Complete.

 

Note: If you do not see the Complete button, check the Phone? checkbox.
